Indeed Clare and often we have family who are far away whether literally or metaphorically. Let’s hold the love and open the doors to others who may need to feel the warmth.

Christmas can be a time when you feel left out, if you do not have children or parents alive, there is no family to share lunch, presents and love with. Be thankfull for good friends a hot meal and warm bed, sometimes we just want more and more, but it is feeling loved and cared for that we really want.

How very true are these wise words!
I ran an outside catering company for over 36 years and discovered the art of keeping a loyal, hard working team together. We knew one another so well that we opperated like cogs in a well oiled machine often acknowledging one anothers thoughts without the need for words. If we only impliment one of the above ideas at a time I say begin by looking people straight in the eye and saying 'thank you' and meaning it. Although I retired almost ten years ago we as a team are still in touch and meet several times a year not to mention the phone calls and e-mails that cut through cyberspace inbetween.
